Our enriched mathematics programs
- strengthen students’ mathematical knowledge and the corresponding skills, required to ensure success in the current and future mathematics programs.
- prepare students with the necessary strategies and techniques to approach mathematics with confidence.
- empower students to advance their knowledge, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to the next level.
- Build a profound conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts and ideas.
- Develop and enhance logical thinking skills and problem-solving strategies.
- Accumulate knowledge about algorithms, develop analytical thinking and create effective modular computational solutions for math problems.
- Apply computational thinking to solve real-life and abstract math problems.
- Write code, by using algebra and geometry, with Wolfram language.
- Investigate and explore a large variety of mathematical problems and tasks, presented in a context that makes connections to different mathematics topics, strands, subject’s area and the real word.
Our enriched mathematics programs provide opportunities for students to experience solving a variety of mathematical problems and tasks, ranging from medium to challenging level. They help students to:
- acquire factual knowledge of mathematics and explore important theorems,proofs and classic questions;
- develop a profound conceptual understanding of mathematical ideas and concepts;
- experience and learn a variety of procedural skills, algorithms and routines;
- organize data and information, create and test hypothesis, provide multiple solutions;
- think critically, make connections, generalize and transfer previous learning to solving rich mathematical tasks;
- operate with various representations of the same concept: numerical, algebraic and graphical;
- expand and use mathematical vocabulary and terminology to explain findings and communicate solutions;
- integrate technology to visually represent mathematics concepts, simulate,construct and check solutions;
- transfer effectively the abstract knowledge of mathematics to create and solve real life problems;
- prepare and experience mathematics competitions, organized by prestigious universities such as, Waterloo University, University of Toronto, and Windsor University.
By engaging a blend of traditional and contemporary approach to teaching and learning mathematics, we are certain that we empower our students to undertake with confidence any mathematical tasks, and we provide them with the necessary skills to succeed in any mathematical related field, and become the leaders of tomorrow.
